La Scarborough Gold Cup chiude come di consueto la stagione road racing prima del Macau Gp di novembre e quest’anno lo fa con una entry list davvero unica.

Sabato 12 e domenica 13 settembre l’Oliver’s Mount di Scarborough, ultimo baluardo delle corse su strada in Inghilterra, ospiterà il quarto evento motociclistico stagionale dopo la Spring Cup, il Barry Sheene Festival e la Cock o’ the North.
La Steve Henshaw Gold Cup è certamente la tappa più attesa dell’anno sul bel tracciato angolsassone, con l’ambitissimo trofeo attualmente nelle mani di Ivan Lintin, quinto vincitore diverso negli ultimi sei anni (dopo Ian Hutchinson, Ryan Farquhar, Guy Martin e Michael Dunlop).
Stretta lingua d’asfalto di 2,5 miglia arroccata sulla bella collina di Scarborough nel North Yorkshire, l’Oliver’s Mount è sede di competizioni addirittura dal 1946. Ed è certamente anche uno dei tracciati preferiti dagli spettatori, con tanti punti davvero vicini alle moto che sfrecciano e un’incredibile facilità nel raggiungere le varie curve del circuito.
Quest’anno l’elenco iscritti prevede nientemeno che John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey, Dan Kneen, Michael e William Dunlop, Dean Harrison, Lee Johnston, Ivan Lintin, Ryan Farquhar, Ian Lougher, James Cowton, Billy Redmayne, Jamie Coward, Daley Mathison, Dan Hegarty, Rhys Hardisty, Paul Owen, Davy Morgan , Dan Cooper…
Tra i Sidecar non mancheranno Tim Reeves, Dave Molyneux, Conrad Harrison e i due Bell, in quello che si preannuncia come sempre uno spettacolo unico su tre ruote.
